Cougars Mark Heritage Week

Friday, February 21, 2014 @ 4:22 AM

Prince George, B.C. –  The Prince George Cougars’ front office has plans to recognize BC Heritage Week as the hockey team returns from a week-long, four-game, road trip through BC and Washington.

The Cougars host Kelowna tonight and tomorrow and in celebration of Heritage Week the organization is featuring local heritage and multicultural groups with displays on the CN Centre concourse. Several local heritage groups will be in attendance and for the heritage theme night, there’s a special concession stand promotion of a pizza and medium pop combo for $5.25.

Saturday night’s game will feature the team's annual pre-game, on-ice ceremony honouring the parents and billet families of the Cougars. Saturday's game  is also the Cougars annual "Girl Guide Night", with almost 200 guides and troop leaders joining the team for a memorable celebration of leadership and achievement.

Both games are 7p.m. starts.

I thought Heritage Week had been moved and is now celebrated in November ?
