Prince George, B.C. – You can consider it a very “Healthy” donation.
Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation has presented Northern Health with a cheque for more than $1.5 million dollars. The money will be used for medical equipment, supplies, site improvements , and educational training to enhance healthcare throughout Northern B.C.
“Spirit of the North is overwhelmed with the generosity of our Donors” says Spirit of the North CEO Judy Neiser. “They realize that health truly is our greatest wealth. Through directed donations to areas of greatest need, or areas near and dear to their heart, we are able to work collaboratively with Northern Health in the procurement of equipment at the best possible pricing.”
Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation wants its donors to " feel good about what they do for the communities in which they live”. Northern Health CEO Cathy Ulrich put it simply “Giving is the difference that makes the difference” as the services and equipment purchased make a significant impact on the level of services that can be offered to patients throughout the north.
The Spirit of the North’s current major fund raising project is for a $1.4 million to purchase a Diagnostic Spect CT. It is hoped that goal will be achieved soon.
