BC Aviation Council Gathers In Prince George
Prince George, BC – Those with a stake in the BC Aviation industry have gathered in Prince George for a two-day conference…
This is the first time the BC Aviation Council has held an event outside the Lower Mainland, and, according to YXS Marketing and Communications Manager, Lindsay Cotter, organizers are extremely pleased with the number registered, calling it, 'the biggest workshop to date.'
Aviation stakeholders gathered for a day of workshops yesterday and a networking mixer last night. This morning's workshop will look at the economic impacts of airports with a presentation from the Northern Development Trust Initiative and a keynote address from the President and CEO of the airport in Fort McMurray, Scott Clements, who will discuss 'lessons learned' from fast-paced resource development at a luncheon at the Ramada.

I wonder if they are coming to see how much free gas they can get….
or how much of a photo op will occur.
I don’t see them changing their transportation routes otherwise..
Airlines need things to make it financially viable , and i don’t see anything here in PG at this time that will offer that to them.
but welcome to the frozen north…enjoy your visit…
Wonder if this will do anything to get he crickets and spider webs off our multi-million dollar airport runway expansion? Meh… probably not.
Just another feel good meet and greet. Nothing positive will come out of this other than the Ramada making a few bucks for rooms and meals. Still just an emergency runway out in the middle of no where.
This is about the north, not just PG.

Could have just as easily eeked out a living here with just a windsock in a potato field. No need to go into debt to have a longer runway for nuthin’. Build it and they will come? Only in the movies, pal. Still get on and off airplanes here like they did in the 1950s. Location, location, location.
Again, this meeting is about aviation in the north overall. How is that published meeting agenda so hard to understand.
