Unlocking Mystery of Key Ownership

Prince George, B.C. – So you’ve lost your keys?
First stop should be at the Prince George RCMP detachment, where dozens of lost keys are turned in each year.
Not all sets of keys are reunited with their rightful owners though, and Corporal Craig Douglass says often, they remain in a cardboard box at the reception centre, waiting for the owner to show up and claim them.
Such is the case with the batch of keys in the photo above. Even an oversized tag that that reads “Keys I Haven’t Lost Yet” wasn’t enough to spare that set from ending up in the box of unclaimed lock openers.
If you recognize any of the keys above, you now know where they can be found.

I like the other set of keys that says “what happened last night”……..uhhh I lost my keys duh!!
TB War Vets had a very effective lost key campaign for a number of years starting in the 1950’s. Don’t see those key tags around as much, where you could just drop them in a mail box to find the key’s owner.
TB War Vets is still active and still has the tag program. I don’t know anybody who participates, however.

I remember that. Do you remember that too?
Actually, I just got some in the mail a week or so ago for the first time in a long time.
