Community Services Master Plan Workshops Today
Prince George, B.C. – There will be two opportunities today for you to help shape a “Community Services “ master plan.
The City of Prince George is taking the pulse on community recreation needs. Your input will help in decision making about future recreation needs in Prince George, including what should or shouldn’t be supported in the future. Don’t forget, the City has recently decided against the upkeep of several tennis courts in the City because they were not being used, there has been a great deal of talk about possibly selling the Four Season’s pool to an independent operator and the City recently gave in to public pressure not to sell the Pine Valley Golf Course lands.
There are two roundtable workshops set for today. One session will take place at 1:30 and run until 4:00, the other will start at 6:30 and go until 9. Both sessions are taking place at the Prince George Civic Centre.
You are asked to pre-register for a session if you are planning to attend. You can pre-register at rec_admin@city.pg.bc.ca or call 250.561.7640.
If you aren’t able to attend one of the sessions, there are online surveys available. While there is a general “Public” online survey, there are also surveys specific to other interest groups:
- Youth
- Seniors, and
- Stakeholders .
The deadline for all of the surveys is March 21st.
