Budget, Bud and Business on Board Agenda at RDFFG

Thursday, March 20, 2014 @ 3:57 AM

Prince George, B.C.- The Regional District of Fraser Fort George meets today, and will put the finishing touches on its budget for 2014.

If approved, the Prince George contribution will be $7,558,709.  That’s up 0.30% over the amount collected from Prince George in 2013.

Also on the agenda, a second look at the Marihuana for Medical Purposes bylaw.  The Regional District of Fraser Fort George is calling for such production areas to have minimum parcel sizes, and to be zoned heavy industrial. The report to the Board outlines what other Regional Districts are doing about this issue.

The Board will also be asked to approve a consultation process for the rezoning of property to allow the Giscome Lime quarry and lime production plant to move forward.

Why wouldn’t it be zoned agricultural? Do they expect heavy trucks and trains hauling the crop to market? When I saw the word “bud” in the title I had this vision of them all sitting around shitfaced with beer in their hands. Would explain a few council decisions if that were the case.

Sure glad them RDFFG folks didn’t give the PAC folks a million bucks a year or two ago to get their foot farther in the door in PG.
