Work Continues on Rural Highway Review
Prince George, B.C. – There is no date yet for the final report on the B.C. Rural Highway and Safety Review.
The review started November 29th, and wrapped up the information gathering portion of the review two months ago.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has advised 250News, “Ministry staff are now evaluating public input, along with the technical portion of the review, to make some determinations.”
According to the Ministry, “Practical recommendations and a strategy for implementing them will be ready later this spring.”
No date has been noted.
The review examined speed limits on longer stretches of rural highways to ensure appropriate speed limits are in place. The review also asked for input on issues such as reducing wildlife hazards, improving the safe and efficient movement of slower vehicles, and the use of winter tires.
Comments
Whatever the review brings, it will surely include the suction of more money from the pockets of the citizens of this province while the corporations and rich fill their personal accounts and offshore tax havens!
Never mind the kick backs!
