Dust Advisory Continues
Prince George, B.C.- Although there was some precipitation overnight, it was not enough to reduce the 24 hour rolling average for coarse particulates in the Prince George airshed.
The dust advisory continues, and will remain in place likely until noon today.
The provincial air quality objective for coarse particles, PM10, is 50 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours. The 24 hour PM10 rolling average was 49 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown, 34 µg/m3 at College Heights and 74 µg/m3 at BCR at 9 this morning,
The provincial air quality objective for fine particles, PM2.5, is 25 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours. The 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 13 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site, 11 µg/m3 at College Heights at 9 this morning.
Even though the 24-hour PM10 rolling average at Plaza is now below 50 µg/m3 high hourly values still exist in the bowl this morning. Levels are expected to improve later this morning.
An update will be provided at noon today.
