Dust Advisory Cancelled
Prince George, B.C.- The Dust Advisory has been cancelled for Prince George.
The provincial air quality objective for coarse particles, PM10, is 50 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours. The 24 hour PM10 rolling average was 19 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown, 11 µg/m3 at College Heights and 45 µg/m3 at BCR at 8 this morning.
As for PM2.5 at 8 this morning, the 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 3 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site, 2 µg/m3 at College Heights. The provincial air quality objective for fine particles, PM2.5, is 25 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours.
Based on the quality data, the high levels were mainly due to road dust in the bowl area.
With the cancellation of the Dust Advisory the City's Free Fare for Clean Air program will wrap up at 11:59 tonight.
