Wearing bright yellow t-shirts, the survivors are the honoured guests of the annual event "The sea of survivors taking the victory lap gives us all inspiration to keep fighting back against cancer" says Helen Owen,Team Lead, Relay For Life. "We celebrate and honour our survivors, and their caregivers, during the survivor victory lap. We invite and encourage all cancer survivors and their caregivers to come and join us."
Once again, the Relay for Life will take place at Masich Place Stadium, the date for the event this year is May 10th. Once again, cancer survivors are invited to be part of the victory lap. Last year, more than 200 survivors took part in this very special walk.
There is no cost to register for the victory lap only.
You can find out more about how to take part by contacting the Canadian Cancer Society office at 250-564-0885.
