Home Show Ready To Put Out the Welcome Mat

Friday, April 25, 2014 @ 3:50 AM

Prince George, B.C.- It must be spring, the Home Show is set to open at Exhibition Park this afternoon.

"A Home means so much more than the important doors, windows, roof and the hot water tank, it’s also the people, family and pets that reside there", says Terri McConnachie, Executive Officer of the Canadian Home Builders  of Northern B.C.   "It’s the back yard barbecues, family celebrations such as baby showers, anniversaries and weddings, a gathering with friends for dinner on the patio or a soak in the hot tub with a glass of wine after a long day. A Home is our refuge where the people and things we care about surround us and where we express ourselves with colour, décor and furnishings; it grows and changes with us just as our needs grow and change".

From building to renovating and redcorating, more than a hundred vendors will be on hand  this weekend to share the latest trends and demonstrate their products.

Not sure how to do it yourself? The Main Stage at the  Home Show features  home renovation expert Shell Busey,  former City Councilor Don Basserman will also be on hand to talk about  urban farming.

The Home Show starts at 3 this afternoon.
