A ceremony will take place at noon today at the Workers’ Memorial which is located at the corner of Patricia Boulevard and Queensway in Prince George.
The Canadian Labour Congress held the first Day of Mourning ceremony on April 28, 1984, making Canada the first country to formally commemorate workers killed at work.
There is a special Day of Mourning Commemoration Site online, where you can make a dedication in the name of a fallen or injured worker. There is no cost involved.
