Plug Pulled On Alleged Online Drug Operation
Quesnel, BC – From dial-a-drug…to shopping online for your fix…
Two Quesnel men are facing charges after an investigation by BC RCMP's Federal Serious Organized Crime Section (FSOC) into an alleged online drug-selling operation.
Corporal Laurie White says the investigation began last June when the Canadian Border Service Agency intercepted a package from China that was destined for Quesnel containing 500 grams of Butylone. An initial investigation by Prince George FSOC linked the persons believed responsible for importing the drug to an internet website claiming to provide 'safe alternatives to party drugs'.
"Investigators believed the website was being used by the suspects to advertise and sell a wide variety of controlled substances to buyers across Canada," says Corporal White. "The drugs were (allegedly) being shipped through the mail to the purchaser. The website has since been successfully shut down."
The FSOC spokesperson says members of FSOC, Quesnel RCMP, and the North District General Investigation Section (Williams Lake) executed a search warrant on a home in Quesnel on June 20, 2013, arresting two men and seizing a variety of suspected drugs. She says investigators sent 84 suspected drug samples to the Health Canada Laboratory for analysis – some of which had not previously been seen by lab analysts, meaning time-consuming testing was required. Corporal White says that accounts for the lengthy delay from the onset of the investigation to charges being laid.
29-year-old Travis James Gaudette is facing 11 drug-related charges and 54-year-old Darryl Arthur Gaudette is facing seven charges in connection with this investigation.

Its always heartwarming when a family works together
Googled Butylone. A most interesting “research chemical”. Not to be used for human or veterinary purposes. Hopefully big penalty for importing the drug and Darwin awards for any one who uses it. Stoopid people.
Quesnel rec drugs and sons ltd.
Nice to see CBSA and the FSOC on top of things. I wonder though how much they miss. Good to see this one tracked and confiscated.
This is funny. Butylone is not a Control substance. There for it get dropped. 84 suspected drugs and only 8 charges.
If they look into it further butylone iscalso a bathsalt.
