Prince Rupert Growing

Prince Rupert, B.C.- The Province has approved the expansion of the boundary of the City of Prince Rupert.
The extension will mean Prince Rupert will incorporate a parcel of land owned by the city – District Lot 444 – into the municipal boundaries.
Located to the northeast of the existing municipal boundary, it is on the other side of Fern Passage "This inclusion protects the city's source of drinking (potable), water and will lead to sustainable growth and other opportunities" says Mayor Jack Mussallem.
The approval follows the completion of three steps that were taken by the City of Prince Rupert:
- Giving public notice of the proposed extension;
- Obtaining the approval of the electors for the request through the alternative approval process; and
- Endorsing a Council resolution requesting the proposed extension.

Please take measures to avoid downtown decay.
Seems to me that “The Gateway To The North” after all these 24 years I’ve been here has only rusty hinges to show for itself. Time for a 100% change in city councils makeup if we don’t want our “hinges” to seize shut. Maybe PG should be more than “eat here and get gas”. How about it, city hall?
What does that have to do with Prince Rupert expanding it’s borders? Not every article on here is about PG city council. Stop making every article on here about PG city council.
