Prince George, B.C.- The bodies of a female and a male, have been recovered from Kwitzil Lake,  32 kilometers  west of Prince George.

The two were in a vehicle that was pulled from the lake ( better known as Gravel Pit Lake) this  afternoon.

This investigation  started around 4 this morning, when police recieved a report  that a vehicle had gone into Kwitzil Lake, and that it  was believed there were two people  in that vehicle.

The RCMP, the Beaverly Volunteer Fire Department and the BC Ambulance Service attended the scene. The area was the location of a high school graduation  party throughout the night and it is believed  hundreds of persons attended.

The investigation is continuing in partnership with the BC Coroners Service.   Names of the deceased have not been released.
