Prince George, B.C.-  RCMP are working with the BC Coroners Service to determine how a weekend  high school graduation party  turned into a  double  tragedy.

The party that was supposed to be  a celebration, turned into a nightmare early yesterday morning when  a vehicle, with two people  inside,   plunged into Kwitzil Lake ( Gravel Pit Lake) about 32 Kms west of Prince George.

Police believe there were hundreds of people at the party.

Police and emergency personnel   were called to the scene around 4 yesterday morning.

Dive Team experts were called in ,  and  around 4 in the afternoon, the  vehicle was pulled from the lake, the bodies of a male and female inside.

Party goers  have  been  posting fast and furiously on Facebook and Twitter, however,  the names of the  two deceased  have not been released by either the  BC Coroners Service, or the RCMP.  250News  will not be publishing  the  names or ages of  the two  until the information has been officially released  by  one of those agencies.
