When are they going to put in traffic lights there?

Don’t need ’em. Just need safe drivers…..

This intersection definitely needs traffic lights.

The problem is that many drivers don’t have the ability to safely turn left from 22nd onto Ospika.

Instead of lights, they should just close the median off and that would restrict left turns off of 22nd onto Ospika.

It’s very easy, at an unmarked busy intersection, you turn right, go up two blocks, turn left, go around the block, turn right onto the road you wanted to be on, and away you go. Easy, just takes a few more minutes, but everybody gets home safely :-)

That means no left turn off Ospika onto 22nd in any direction.

Yeah, unfortunately, it seems that everything needs to be dumbed down for some of the drivers in this town. They could turn on 18th, where there is lights.

Exactly JohnnyBelt, nobody plans their trip ahead. They go the same way everyday, fight the same problem everyday, but won’t change their course. I say screw them, bang and crash all the way home. I hope no one gets hurt over these clowns stupidity!

Have a great, safe week everyone

If you’re coming from the residential side of 22nd, there is no way to get to 18th.
I usually do what taxi says and hang a right, then a left and loop around. But not everyone does, and even trying to turn right some days is brutal. It’s a busy road, there are accidents weekly, I’m surprised ICBC hasn’t pushed for traffic lights. Or maybe they have and the city won’t spend the money.

they need a traffic light at Tabor and 15th as well…there are so many close calls there, especially in the winter.
