Smithers, B.C.- The BC River Forecast Centre has ended the High Streamflow Advisory for the Bulkley River near Smithers.
The Forecast centre says the rainfall has eased, and rates of snow melt have slowed so the river conditions on the Bulkley have stabilized. The Forecast Centre says "the river levels have dropped slightly since yesterday and are expected to continue to recede into the middle of the week".
The High Streamflow advisory remains in effect for the Salmon River near Falkland downstream to Salmon Arm.
The River Forecast Centre is ending the High Streamflow Advisory for the Southern Interior including:
- Okanagan (including Mission Creek and other small watersheds in the area)
- Thompson Region (Shuswap River tributaries, and other small watersheds in the Merritt, Kamloops, Salmon Arm and Sicamous area, except the Salmon River)
- Boundary (including the West Kettle and Kettle River)
- Similkameen River and tributaries
