More fire Training At YXS

Prince George, B.C. – Don't be alarmed if you see thick black smoke coming from the general area of the Prince George Airport today.
As part of ongoing recurrent fire training and certification, the Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) will be conducting aviation related fires in the fire training area of YXS.
Training is scheduled to start Today from 11:030am – 12:30pm.
These fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances and pose no threat to the public or surrounding areas.
The training will be postponed if there is a lightning storm in the area.

I call BS on that. Thick black smoke sent into the atmosphere poses “no threat”?
