Prince George, B.C.- It’s convocation time at UNBC.
While there are 800 UNBC students who are graduating this year from the main campus and the satellite campuses, the largest UNBC convocation ceremony took place in Prince George today.
The College of Arts, Social and Health Sciences ceremony at 9:30 this morning, while the grads from the College of Science and Management had their ceremony this afternoon.

The convocation event in Prince George saw honourary degrees bestowed on architect Michael Green, designer of the Wood Innovation and Design centre, and ethnobiologist Nancy J. Turner.
The Governor General Gold Medal was awarded to Ian Picketts, and the Governor General Silver Medal was awarded to Johnathan Brian Gorman.

Looking at the picture of all the grads brings to mind the volume of student loans outstanding. To every upside there is a downside. I’m sure everything will work out. Good luck to them. My advice? None.

Our oldest was in the graduating group today. No debt, already has a full time well-paid job; good time to be young. Applied science grads are in demand.
What are you saying canisplus? That taking ownership, hard work, and choosing a field in demand equals success? Who woulda thunk it?
