Legebokoff Trial To Start Today

Prince George, B.C. – Today, the trial of Cody Legebokoff gets underway.
He is the young man charged with the November 2010 murder of 15 year old Loren Donn Leslie and would later be charged with the 2009 murder of Jill Stuchenko, as well as the 2010 murders of Cynthia Maas and Natasha Lynn Montgomery, although Natasha Lynn Montgomery’s body has not been found.
On Saturday, the process of selecting a jury took more than 12 hours, starting at 10 Saturday morning and wrapping up at 10:15 that night.
14 people have been selected to sit on the jury, and two others were selected as alternates.
The trial will start later this morning with the Crown outlining its case. It is expected this trial could take 6 to 8 months to complete.
