New Hazelton, B.C.-  Details of a  tragic crash  on   Highway 16 west  on Saturday evening are finally being released.

RCMP say a van and SUV collided head on, on Highway 16 near Boulder Creek new New Halzelton around 6:30 Saturday evening. Four people lost their lives.

Two men, aged 67 and 75, and two women,  aged 83 and 65  were  found deceased at the scene.

North District Traffic Services is working in partnership with the BC Coroner's Office.

The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
