The vehicle hit a light standard before  rolling and coming to rest  on  its side  on a frontage road.

The driver was not injured.

Last week (or maybe the week before- my memory fades) there was a speed trap on the northbound side just past Raven Truck parts. I wonder how many they got?

PrinceGeorge – Id take the Hart any day over the corridor west that has three out of five of the highest accident intersections in town along it…

Drove by that today. I was doing a little over the limit and people were flying by me like I was standing still.

One used dodge bumper for sale.

Looks like someones head hit the windshield. Wonder if it knocked any sense into them.

Huh, –it looks like that was the passenger side! No lessons learned??
As for the speed trap by Raven–they were lined up like bad kids, waiting for the “slap on the wrist”, when I went by!
I just laughed at the one finger salutes I was getting;(I was right on the speed) just before the trap. Some of them in the line were the saluters!

I drove by this scene too and the behaviour of other drivers was ridiculous. Total disregard for reasonable speed limits and other drivers. Yes, drivers texting, on their cell phone, dogs on the driver’s lap. You have to question what percentage of the human race lacks intelligence, common sense, consideration for others and acceptance of reasonable human behaviour and standards.
Time for more enforcement on the Hart Highway….the money collected from fines goes to the City. Maybe it will help stop the annual increase in our taxes. We are already dealing with increased assessments. Add it up and your taxes are far in excess of the increase quoted by the City.

How about speed bumps on E. Austin on any given night? Absolutely ridiculous the speeds these morons do

“Huh, –it looks like that was the passenger side! No lessons learned??” .. maybe learned not to ride with that driver again.

There was no passenger. The driver was incredibly lucky, as were the surrounding motorists. He caught air and flipped two or three times. It was surreal to see. He had barely come to a stop and was surrounded by good samaritans willing to help him out of that truck.

Traffic on the Hart would flow a lot better if every idiot who didn’t “Keep Right Except To Pass” was forced to turn in their license.

You got it axman. I ran to town last evening. Followed a Rons tow truck with a minivan in tow all the way down from the Hart Wheel to 5th ave in the left lane. To make it worse, he did most of the way BESIDE a motorcycle who was in the right lane. Then on the way home I followed two young duck dynasty looking guys in a jacked up red F250 who stayed in the left lane from 5th all the way to Austin road where they then got in the right lane to turn into Timmies. My gawd, they walk among us…

We just moved up the Hart a few months ago, I have to say my commutes have been… uh… interesting. There should be a course for PG drivers on how to properly manage a merge lane. Coming up the Hart there are 2 in succession, I would hazard that 7 of 10 drivers fail to negotiate them properly, both merging & allowing mergers into traffic flow. The other day I watched in horror as a young mother with 2 kids in their little Kia almost get crushed by a transport truck coming off of the weigh scales. She switched from the left lane into the right just as the truck was coming up to speed from the merge.

The Hart Hwy is not the only place in town that people speed, went out west on Friday and people speed up and down Peden Hill and by Walmart, people speed on Foothills and on Ospika. People need to follow road signs, yes speed zones and keep right except to pass or slower traffic keep right. And don’t get me started on the traffic circle………should have to do a test before you are allowed to drive in there!

Glad the headline didn’t call this crash an accident.
