PG Airport Boss to Head Airport Council Board

Prince George, B.C. – The CEO and President of the Prince George Airport Authority, John Gibson, has just been named the Chair of the Canadian Airports Council board.

Gibson, has served as the association’s vice chair since 2012 and succeeds Edmonton Airports President and CEO Tom Ruth.

“Canada’s airports are vitally important to growing Canada’s economy and serving the needs of our communities” says Ruth, “John’s experience in the industry will help us continue to push for policy changes that will improve the competitiveness of our industry and attract more air travel to, from, through, and within Canada.”

John Gibson  has been  the CEO of the PGAA since 2009.

Sure why the heck not? Accept a seat on another board, with all the extra spare time one has, when you’re not doing anything any way, you can sit on a few more boards (park benches, fence boards….etc..). Would really be nice if some of these “boards” were filled by motivated individuals that actually do something with the positions they hold. More yabba yabba from the PGAA and again little if any resultant change.

Professional, one can look at it that way, or you can take the look at it for better representing our needs from a smaller airport position.

Airport? Needs? Try more airplanes to land here.

MOre planes needed…. yes indeed…
since the lengthening of the runway last time didn’t work maybe they need to add more lenghth to it????
Adding huge fuel tanks didn’t work either….
maybe they are going to have to offer more free landings and fuel to aircraft using the airport…. I bet even that probably won’t work…
little men with big egos justifying their jobs and failing miserably?
