Lots To Do With Dad This Weekend
Prince George, B.C. – Dads around the world get some recognition this weekend as Father’s Day is officially celebrated on Sunday.
There are numerous activities taking place in Prince George that allow you some “special” time to spend with your dad:
The Northern BC Motorcycle Ride For Dad goes today, starting from the Kinsmen Hall. Registration takes place from 9-10:45, with the ride beginning at 11 am sharp. The event features a lunch, poker run, prizes and other activities while raising money to fight prostate cancer.
If dad enjoys kicking up his heels, Branch 43 of the Royal Canadian Legion is hosting “Rock with Elvis” tonight at its 6th Avenue location. Tickets are $2o a pop!
The Ramada has three seating times for its Father’s Day BBQ Brunch on Sunday. They are 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1pm. Call 250-563-0055 to make your reservation.
A Father’s Day tradition in Prince George is set to go on Sunday at Fort George Park. The 40th annual Father’s Day Show ‘n Shine featuring a wide display of vintage automobiles runs from 10 a.m. to 4pm.
And the Prince George Metis Community Association is celebrating Metis Heritage Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, also at Fort George Park. That event includes main stage entertainment, food and vendors throughout the park.
