Prince and Princess Parade Goes Today

Saturday, June 14, 2014 @ 4:04 AM

Prince George, B.C. – There’s a great opportunity for dads to have fun with their kids this Father’s Day weekend.

The Elder Citizens Recreation Association is hosting its Prince and Princess Tea and parade for children today.  The event is held on Tenth Avenue, between Vancouver and Winnipeg Streets, from 1 to 3 pm.  The cost is $5 per person.  Seating for the tea in the Elder Citizens Recreation Centre at 1692 10th is limited so no tickets will be sold at the door.  (Call 561-9381 or 964-7124 for information). Youngsters are encouraged to wear their prince or princess outfit and can have some tea or juice, sandwiches and goodies.

The “tea” will be followed by the parade, and there will also be a craft corner, fish pond, silent auction and games.  Adults are welcome to accompany the children.

All money raised at the event goes toward the Centre’s operational costs.
