Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George RCMP are requesting the public's help in locating the person responsible for an armed robbery in the city Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 1:30 PM Saturday, police received a report of a robbery at a financial institution at 9th and Victoria.  They say an adult male entered the institution and brandished a knife.  Staff cooperated and gave the thief a small amount of cash before he fled the building on foot, heading south on Victoria.  Police say nobody was hurt during the robbery.

Several officers including a Police Service Dog converged on the area but were unable to locate the suspect.  He is described as a non-white male, 175 cm (5'9") with a slim to medium build, wearing a black ball cap, sunglasses, black hoodie, blue jeans, and runners at the time of the robbery.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call the Prince George detachment at 250-561-3300, or Crimestoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.

Isn’t that a few block from the new cop shop?

Yup and the old cop shop was even closer

Surprised no none pointed out the Tim Horton’s across the street.

You’re not all suggesting that the police actively patrol the city are you?

That description covers a lot of people that hang out downtown but I suggest they check out the crack shacks first.

Wow axman. Did a cop give you a speeding ticket or look at you funny or something?
