Quesnel, BC – There are still no details being released by RCMP on an incident that occurred just north of Quesnel last night.
It is believed that an RCMP officer was injured in some sort of altercation that occurred near a residence in the Barlow Creek area, along the Barkerville Highway.
Reports from some witnesses suggest an officer was transported from the area via ambulance sometime after 9pm last night and a stand-off began that lasted into the early morning hours. (photo at right from Facebook)

I was listening to this unfold on the scanner, and they had attended a residence to arrest someone, and a “slug fest” ensued, where one officer was injured. EHS was called to attend and take care of him. An older male was taken into custody, and then two males were left in the residence. I listened for an hour, and the stand off continued. They called in someone from PG, I am not sure in what capacity, dog handler maybe?
well there was a lot going on I was right there first hand reporting the story as it unfolded
