Prince George, B.C.- There is now a severe thunderstorm WARNING in effect for Prince George.

Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, dime to nickel size hail and heavy rain.

The severe thunderstorm is expected to impact sections along Highway 16 from Vanderhoof to Prince George within the next 30 minutes. The storm is moving towards the northeast at 50 km/h.
