Two Rescued from Cliff Face

Tumbler Ridge, B.C.-A couple of Ontario climbers had to be rescued from a cliff face at Bergeron Falls.
The two had become stranded yesterday afternoon. They had been trying to climb the cliff face, following the more experienced climbers in their group.
The two soon found they were not prepared for the climb and that they had overextended themselves.

Tumbler Ridge and North Peach Search and Rescue were sent to the site. With the help of a helicopter and a rope rescue team , the two were safely lifted from the cliff face.
RCMP say the incident serves as a reminder to limit activities to the level of one’s skills and abilities, and to be properly prepared.

I hope they are sent a bill for this.
Why?
You would think their more experienced friends would have warned them or at least had enough gear to help them get down.
I agree completely about sending them the bill. I’d fully expect to pay for my own stupidity and getting stuck over my head.
If people are threatened with paying the call for help might be too late. You guys probably will say tough. Hey the province makes a lot of money with the outdoors. It is expected to pay out some.
Huh, if you are ever in need of help using tax dollars like say in a car crash where you may need the fire dept or an ambulance to come and rescue your rear end because you zigged when you should of zagged, do you think you should be sent the bill?
I would expect the bill if I knowingly climb a mountain I am not qualified to climb and have to be rescued. I would assume I had a reason to zig rather than zag, perhaps a moose? Not even a close comparison.
Easy enough to sit behind a keyboard to say that when your not stranded somewhere..

So those who figure the rescued should be billed will pay for any rescuing they or family may ever need. If something stupid is ever done by same and injuries result I am sure they will pay any medical bills, ya right.
I wish people would be sent a bill for going to the see Doctor for nothing, over and over again. Way more costly than the odd rescue mission.
