Williams Lake, B.C. – A Merritt man  is recovering from  a stab wound, and a  woman faces charges in connection with the incident.

Williams Lake RCMP were called to the 500 block of Donald Road around 5:30 yesterday, where there was a 24 year old Merritt man who required immediate medical attention.

When they arrived on scene, officers confirmed the  man had been stabbed.  He was taken to the Williams Lake Hospital where his injuries , appear to be non-life threatening.

Shortly after the initial report, a 22 year old woman was arrested for the incident.

This stabbing is believed to be an isolated incident and both individuals are known to Police.

The investigation is still in its initial stages so no further information will be released at this time.
