Prince George, B.C. – It’s been three and a half months since RCMP Superintendent Eric Stubbs announced he would be leaving the Prince George detachment and moving to Ottawa.
The search for a replacement started March 26th, the day that announcement was made, but there is no decision yet on who will be the next Officer in Charge.
City of Prince George Manager of Communications Todd Corrigall will only say the search “is an ongoing process”.
There is no indication at this point if interviews have been arranged, or how many candidates may have made it to a short list.
Although the final decision is up to RCMP Headquarters in Ottawa, in the past, it has been the practice to involve Prince George City Hall in the process.
