Prince George, B.C. – A small plane crash on the B.C. central coast has resulted in injuries to four men.

North District RCMP Media Relations spokesman Cpl. Dave Tyreman says at about 3:50 Friday afternoon the BC Coast Guard and RCMP Emergency Center received a distress call from a small plane that had crashed in the St. John Harbour near Bella Bella during take off.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time but the four men who were on board at the time are all British Columbia residents.  They were transported to the local hospital where two of the 4 were treated for minor injuries and the two others for serious but non life threatening injuries.

The investigation is in its early very early stages and more information may be released at a later time.
