Prince George, B.C.- Traffic analysts with the Prince George RCMP are still on the scene where a pedestrian was struck just before 5 this afternoon.
The female was crossing 15th when she was struck by a vehicle. She is in hospital with serious injuries.
Further details are not yet available, but traffic at 15th Avenue at Edmonton is being controlled by the Guardian Angels as police continue to investigate.

Due to construction, Vehicles are parked on the south side of 15 Ave. If you want to cross you have to jaywalk as there is no crosswalk at 15 and ED.Perhaps there could be a pedestrian controlled crosswalk at this intersection.
The speed limit on 15th (also 5th and 10th) is 50km/h. Usually the traffic is speeding at 65 to 70km/h. In fact, it is 50km/h throughout the entire city, unless posted otherwise.
Do the math and calculate how much longer stopping distances are at 50 compared to the illegal 65 or 70! It may be the difference between avoiding a collision or putting a person in the hospital.
Says nowhere that the driver was at fault.
Neither did I claim that in my comment.
However, it is a fact that almost everybody is speeding, everywhere.
If a person is at fault due to jaywalking my comment still applies as the faster one is driving the longer the distance to come to a stop, the more severe the injuries.
