Evacuation Alerts and Orders

Prince George, B.C.- Evacuation Orders and Alerts are the order of the day as communities   brace themselves for the  possibility  they could be in the way of a  raging fire.

According to the BC Wildfire Management Branch there are  35  active wildfires (over 10 hectares) and ten of them are listed being “interface” fires.

Evacuation Orders remain in effect for the following areas:

  • Hudson’s Hope ( District of Hudson’s Hope)
  • Mt. McAllister (Peace River Regional District )
  • Oil and gas field areas of Red Deer Creek, Ojay and Grizzly South. ( Peace River Regional District)
  • North east half of Tetachuck Lake, through Uchu Reach to Intata Reach on Natalkuz Lake to the south side of the Chelaslie River  ( Regional District Bulkley-Nechako)
  • Euchiniko Lake Ranch Lodge (Cariboo Regional District)
  • Murray Lake area (Thompson-Nicola Regional District)

 

The following areas are under an Evacuation Alert:

  • Princeton- Summerland Road, Jura Area ( Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen)
  • Intata Reach at confluence of Uchu Reach, Kluskus Forest Service Road and area ( Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako)
  • Apex Mt. Rod, Burlington Ranch and Green Mt. Road ( regional  District of the Okanagan-Similkameen)
