Vanderhoof, B.C.- A 50 year old man is in custody and will appear in court today following a stabbing overnight in Vanderhoof.

RCMP say they were called  to the 700 block of Sophie Road  around 1:00 this morning. When they arrived on scene, they discovered a 28 year old man who had been stabbed.  His injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening.

The name of the man  in custody has not been released.
