Mounties Seek Suspicious Person – Update
Prince George, B.C. – Mounties have concluded their investigation and cleared the suspect involved in a suspicious incident that took place at Bear Lake earlier this month.
Back on August 4 the Prince George RCMP asked for the public's help in tracking down an adult male who was approaching and speaking to children in an "aggressive and inappropriate" manner at the "day use" area of Crooked River Provincial Park.
Well according to Corporal Craig Douglass the issue was cleared up this weekend when the suspect came to the PG detachment.
"The person identified himself as that person we were looking to speak with. We have spoken to him and although the incident was suspicious in nature we don't believe any criminal offense took place and have subsequently concluded the investigation."
Douglass also says the man was "very cooperative, very respectful, and very understanding of the circumstances and did not believe he was doing anything wrong."

Are we going a bit over the top when we run someone through the media for talking to children in front of their parents?
If you talk to children in front of the parents, does that make you a sexual predator? Nonsense!
When the parent asks that the person leave their kids alone, and that person doesn’t, I’m pretty sure that justifies the parent’s creep meter going off like it did here.
perhaps this was a case of parents having no control over a child, annoying everyone else? And the “suspect” saying something? Just one of many possibilities.
If someone was bothering my children and when asked to leave didn’t. I probably wouldn’t be to nice to the individual

aggressive and inappropriate manner ..like I said before cops would not be looking for him , he would be right there ,,, my boot holding him down.
What has the world come to? People ticked because someone was walking around a public beach area talking to people. Could have been drinking and wandering around making smalltalk, chatting with kids because maybe adults shrugged him off, none of us were there so none of us know the details. Didn’t grab or touch any kids, just chatted and even though creepy to some it is a public use area. Don’t like the public being in a public use area then go to a private campground.
