Jail and Bail…The Sequel
Prince George, B.C. – Get ready to be either arrested, or called upon to bail someone out, as the Tour de North Jail and Bail event is set to go on September 3rd.

This is the second time the Tour de North team has held a Jail and Bail, last year the event saw 9 people ‘arrested’, and just over $6 thousand dollars raised in ‘bail’ .
This fundraiser calls for folks to be picked up by the police (or auxiliaries as the case may be) and delivered to the Gold’s Gym parking lot where they will be placed in a makeshift jail until they raise enough money to be bailed out.
It’s all in fun, and the dollars raised go towards to pediatric cancer research, support programs and Camp Goodtimes.
But, it can’t happen if there aren’t people to arrest, and they have to be aware, and willing, to go along with the event. So, nomination forms are now available at the Prince George RCMP Detachment on Victoria Street and the North District Office on 5th. Completed nomination forms can be e-mailed to tourdenorth@rcmp-grc.gc.ca, faxed to 250-562-8331 or dropped off at the Prince George Detachment at 455 Victoria Street.
But even if you haven’t nominated someone to be ‘arrested’, haven’t been ‘arrested’ yourself or called upon to contribute to someone’s bail, you are always welcome to show up on September 3rd at the parking lot of Gold’s Gym, to watch as others find themselves put behind bars for a good cause.
