Prince George, B.C.- More firefighters will be arriving in Prince George this weekend from Ontario and Alberta.
90 firefighters will be arriving in P.G. where they will be briefed, and then sent to where they’re needed throughout the province.
There are 162 wildfires burning in B.C. The new crews from out of Province will give B.C.’s firefighters a much needed break.
The firefighters who will arrive this weekend join more than 1,350 provincial staff, nearly 650 B.C. contractors, over 360 out-of-province personnel and 75 personnel from Australia who are already working on the fires in the province.
The new arrivals could stay in B.C. for up to 2 weeks.
