Citizens on Patrol Help Make Arrest
Prince George, B.C. – A Prince George man will stand before a judge this afternoon thanks to some help from Citizens on Patrol.
Program Coordinator Mike Burt says it stems from an incident which took place this past Friday night near Redwood Street and 17th Avenue.
He says Mounties received a report of an "aggressive male" approaching an adult female as she entered her vehicle in a parking lot.
Burt says the suspect began to strike the vehicle though the female managed to safely flee the scene.
Following that a description of the suspect was dispatched and two volunteers from Citizens on Patrol were able to identify the suspect and notify police who later made an arrest.
"This is a great example of how our Citizens on Patrol volunteers assist our officers in apprehending suspects," says Inspector Brad Anderson. "Their additional observations were essential in this arrest."
As a result of their help 23 year old Ivan Skin will face a Breach of Probation Charge later today.
