Prince George, B.C. – “I am very disappointed.”

That’s Prince George District Parent Advisory Council president Sarah Holland’s reaction to the breakdown in contract talks between the BCTF & the provincial government.

And with the Victoria bent on appealing a Supreme Court of British Columbia court ruling in October she doesn’t see a quick end to the impasse.

“What concerns me is the case will be heard in October and if it doesn’t go the way that either party wishes it to go chances are that decision will be appealed as well. We can’t wait that long for the kids to get back into school.”

In the meantime parents have been left scrambling.

“To put it mildly yes. Some families will be scrambling more than others. It especially leaves kids in a bad position.”
