Quesnel- A 34 year old man is scheduled to appear in court today on a charge of aggravated assault , and one count of assault with a weapon in connection with a stabbing in the 400 block of Reid St in Quesnel , last Saturday at 3.30pm.

Police responded to a call after a 47 year old man was reportedly stabbed and the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle.

Police say the victim was taken to hospital with serious but non life threatening stab wounds. The 47 year old was located nearby.

Police say the incident was a targeted attack . Both individuals are known to police . The attack occurred in the busy downtown area on Saturday, prompting police to thank those who came forward to help make the arrest.
