Prince George, B.C. – The second annual Jail & Bail is underway in the Gold’s Gym parking lot.

It’s being put on by the Prince George RCMP to help raise money for the Tour de North which leaves PG September 12 and finishes up in Prince Rupert September 19.

Constable Sofija Delisimunovic says to take part all you have to do is nominate someone to get arrested.

Following that the arrestee needs to “Post bail by calling family or friends for donations.”

She says last year they raised $8,000 dollars in their inaugural event and are hoping to boost that to $20,000 this year.

Delisimunovic says all proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Research Society and for pediatric cancer including money to send kids to Camp Goodtimes.

Today’s event also features food and face painting and runs until 4 pm.
