Quesnel, BC- Quesnel Mayor , Mary Sjostrom has announced she will seek a third term as mayor of that city.

Sjostrom says, she is proud of the accomplishments the community has been able to make while she has been mayor . She pointed to the new arena set to open in 2016.

She also said the results of the West Quesnel land stability plan will be announced soon , which will provide a strategic direction on this issue.

Sjostrom says, Quesnel residents look for progress, and not just promises, when they consider who to elect to council.

Former MLA , Bob Simpson announced earlier that he will also seek the Mayor’s chair in Quesnel in the upcoming civic election.
