Prince George, B.C. – Another candidate has come forward for a council seat in Prince George this November.

This time it’s Susan Scott, a 22 year resident of the city and long time volunteer – most notably with the Anglican Church.

She promises to bring “a balanced approach,” if elected and says the biggest issue facing the city is its aging infrastructure.

“We know that the pipes beneath the surface of our city are eroding and we need to deal with that along with continued work on our roads.”

Scott is also concerned with the plight of senior citizens.

“As more people choose to retire here, we need to ensure that Prince George offers a sufficient supply of safe housing and support services.”

Politically, she aligns herself with the provincial Liberals and the federal Conservatives but notes she captures all elements of the political spectrum.

Roughly three dozen people turned out for the announcement at the Royal Canadian Legion downtown including Mayor Shari Green and City Councillor Cameron Stolz.

Scott joins Jillian Merrick as the only declared new candidates.

Her campaign signs were debuted via Facebook last night.
She couldn’t be much worse than half of the current crew.
Hopefully she doesn’t listen too much to her husbands dribble though.

The last 2 people I would want to be linked to on my announcement would be Green and Stolz.

iv met her several times and she is a very compitent individual and a fantastic public speaker i’d vote for her

With Green and Stolz names affiliated won’t get my vote. Religion and politics do not mix.

Why would we want someone Cameron Stoltz and Shari Green support when they have done such a terrible job of representing the citizens of this community?!!

Stolz n green huh?
Yeah two strikes she’s out.

Susan is fantastic! She is wise, compassionate and so not dramatic. Just because Stolz and Green were there doesn’t mean she’s the same as they are. If anyone can bring a balance to to city, it is she. I’m excited to see what she brings to the table. And I don’t even like politics!

Having Green and Stoltz in your corner is a BAD move politically. Everything from this moment on will be down hill.

Who advises these people. Are they living in a dream world.

“Just because Stolz and Green were there doesn’t mean she’s the same as they are”. Care to place a wager on that? Frankly, she lost me at “aligned with federal Conservatives and provincial Liberals”. Bring in the bozo-squad from city hall (Green and Stolz)and it’s definitely 3 strikes and yer out!

Who is her husband, whose “dribble” is such a problem?

Her husband is the guy in the picture pointing his finger. Seems to me he was the campaign manager for Shirley Bond, and a great supporter of the HST.

Susan’s husband, Charles was the campaign manager for Shirley Bond and is now the campaign manager for Don Zurowski.

Long time volunteer, identifies aging infrastructure as a problem?
She’s got my vote already. Best wishes on a council seat Susan.
