“I think you’re going to see the heat and rhetoric pick up from all sides as everything points towards the next election.”

He expects that election to come in the fall of 2015 and says it’s clearly up for grabs.

“The polling shows that nobody’s got a commanding lead across the country and it’s a three way race with everyone vying for the attention of the public.”

In reaction to the close race Cullen says his party has a new game plan this time around.

“We’re doing something a little different which is we’re going to start to bring out our platform piece by piece and with it a concrete offer to Canadians.”

He says it will centre around such measures as affordable child care and health care improvements.

“It’s a bit unusual for a party to come out with a platform a year in advance – it’s got some risk of course as our opponents will attack or steal our ideas but I think it will be a breath of fresh air for Canadians.”

Is that love in Nathan’s eyes?

Seriously though, we need to reform the way parliament behaves. They act like a bunch of little children, it’s time they stopped that nonsense and started acting like adults. It’s embarrassing to watch them.

The federal NDP are headed for near extinction, unseen since the waning days of the Mulroney Tories. In a bid to unseat the Conservatives, wishy washy dippers are going to hold their collective noses and vote Liberal. The Green Party is going to return to obscurity in the process as well. If the aforementioned fails to happen; then the Conservatives split the whiney vote and win another majority government.
