Frank Everitt election 2014 087

Prince George, B.C.-  Councillor Frank Everitt has filed his nomination papers for re-election.  “My first term as Prince George City Councillor, has been met with many challenges as I navigated through the maze of policies, procedures and regulations while addressing the issues presented to me by the Citizens of Prince George.”

Everitt says there  were both “success and disappointments” during his first term but says he remains  committed to  “addressing the priorities of the Citizens in an open and honest manner.”

Everitt says  the  Canada Winter games present a significant opportunity to showcase Prince George “This will require a team effort from Mayor, Council, City employees  and the rest of the citizens of Prince George.

He says if the City wants to be the economic  hub for the North,  there will  need to be  “an economic plan and vision that’s open and accountable to taxpayers and investors.”  Everitt says having the support of the people  and businesses in Prince George  translates into confidence from  investors, which will lead to more jobs and an increase in the population base.

“We need to grow our City together and remember who we work for and that’s the taxpayer and citizens of this city.”

Enough of the meaningless pre election boilerplate.

What is your stand on the performing arts center and do you think that conforms with opinion of a majority of the people you hope to represent at the council table?

We are all on about spending, so look at what the expense accounts are from each one of these guys… Everitt spent 0 dollars followed by Brian. Some where big spenders..get rid of them.

Agree with sparrow. I like Everitt just not sure about all of his revisiting of issues. Didn’t he read the stuff the first time? Or did he get enough blow back that it was expedient to change his mind. Jury is still out on that with me.

The Green group has to go, Wilber and Cameron they remind me of Mutt& Jeff, they both can focus on Greens Conservative nomination bid.

“…there will need to be “an economic plan and vision that’s open and accountable to taxpayers and investors.””

Well, we all have already come to that conclusion after 3 years of the worst. So, let the cat out of the bag and tell us your personal plan and your personal vision that is open and accountable to taxpayers and investors, please!

I am waiting for the details! All the other candidates are on my watch list as well! Let her rip, don’t be shy!

X-it: “We are all on about spending, so look at what the expense accounts are from each one of these guys… ”

This is the kind of thing said by someone who has never been on an expense account. The only question around expense accounts should be “are all the charges valid?”. If they are, move onto the next issue.
