Prince George- The Winter Games today announced the people who have been chosen to be involved in the torch relay at the Canada Winter Games.

How are these folks involved if they are not actually running? Elder Mary Gouchie, for example, is in pretty good shape for 94 but I’m pretty sure she isn’t going to run with a torch.
It would be nice if the politicians weren’t involved either.

Why Shirley and Bill Bond?
I would think we are going to be seeing fewer and fewer of these types of taxpayer funded extravaganzas in the world as we go forward.

old schooler I think it was more like PG dumped rogers for greene and her masterful spin. From what I hear he had to go to Vernon for work and his family is still here. At least he and Waldie did a lot to get the games so nice that they got included.
Not sure why Canada games staff are included…
