“Reising” to the Occaision
Prince George, B.C. – With all the pomp and ceremony available, Henry Reiser has been installed as the new President of the College of New Caledonia.
The ceremony at the Gathering Place at CNC in Prince George, started with traditional drum and dance by the Khast’an Performers- Lheidli T’enneh Drumming Group.
Welcoming remarks were offered by local and provincial politicians, the President of UNBC, the CNC Student Union, Faculty Association, CUPE and the College’s Board of Governor’s Chair.
“There is tremendous opportunity for the College moving forward” says Reiser ( in photo at right) . “With more than $35 billion in resource-based projects planned for Northern B.C. in the near future, CNC is well positioned to provide skills and training to our students that will lead to well paying and long term jobs.”
Reiser was officially sworn in by B.C. Supreme Court Justice Glen Parrett.
