We have a “Deputy Elections Officer”? I wonder what she does when there is no election.

I had a few working with Mr. Hall when I worked for the SD#57 for many years, and my community school with him being the head of the SD#57 trustees. I personally found him very down to earth and pleasant to talk to. Be nice to have a good mayor this time around. Still my favourite was Colin Kinsley from the past. I’m writing a report on the councillors & mayors this time around so I been researching all of them in depth.

@benny
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hall may well be more approachable and less confrontational which would help all around, see how he presents on the issues over the next 5 weeks.

I believe that the Municipal Elections officer’s job is part of the Director of Legislative Services position which is Walter Babicz, so it would follow that the Deputy Elections Officer would report to him.

Being the Municipal Elections Officer is a very small part of these positions.

@axman she is a city planner

Google tells me that Deanna Wasnik has a degree in Environmental Planning from UNBC and was a planning technologist for the City but is now “Deputy Corporate Officer” and is the contact person for issues relating to city council. She also coaches girls’ volleyball though I don’t think that’s part of her job.

Her face is visible in this photo of Don Zurkowski signing his nomination papers.

PG has city planners? I never would have guessed. :)

No wonders the City is in the woods.
